WELCOME TO TODDLE IN
Hello and welcome to my website. My name is John Eccles, aged 28, an Ofsted registered Childminder based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria providing quality home based childcare for children aged from 1-5 years old and 5-11 years. I provide full or part-time childcare, wrap around care, before and after school and holiday childcare. I am one of only two male childminders in Barrow. I feel that being male in a predominately female profession is advantageous as children can benefit from having a positive male role model in their lives. I work alongside my assistant Jessica Critchley and we work together to provide a warm, caring, safe and secure environment for children.
At Toddle In our aim is to provide the best care and education for your child and to inspire their love for learning by making learning fun and enjoyable. Children learn through play and we plan various activities and experiences to help children learn and develop and build their own self-confidence and self-esteem and to develop all of the skills and knowledge they will need in preparation for BIG school. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to guide the care and education that I provide and carefully plan activities to meet each child's individual needs.
I provide childcare in my own home which is located in a quiet residential area close to Sacred Heart Primary School. I am conveniently situated just a short drive from Barrow Town Centre and close to all local amenities and to nearby bus routes and the main train station. I am very lucky that I live just minutes away from Barrow Park which we visit on a daily basis (weather permitting)with its adventure playground, wide open spaces to play and explore.. I also take children on various outings to the local children's centre, playgroups, mother and toddler groups, soft play, shops, beach or library.
As an experienced childminder, I understand how difficult it can be to leave your child in the care of someone whom you don't know but as a parent you can be confident and rest assured knowing that your child will be well cared for in a warm, caring, safe and secure environment that is a 'home from home'.
